Michael V. Roberts, one of the nation’s foremost African American entrepreneurs, is a classic example of what hard work, persistence and excellence can offer.

Working his way up from a modest background in St. Louis, Missouri and following the footsteps of his determined parents, Roberts has experienced immeasurable success in a number of successful business ventures over the past 29 years. These ventures are comprised of numerous industries, including hospitality, broadcasting, telecommunications and real estate development and construction, just to name a few.

Among the many ventures of The Roberts Companies are the Roberts Isle and Resort, the largest African American-owned development in the Bahamas; Roberts Aviation, including a Gulfstream III 12-passenger luxury business jet; Wireless Communications, the first African American-owned digital PCS telecommunications company; and the Mayfield Hotel-Atlanta, near downtown Atlanta, which is among a host of hotels owned by Roberts.

A key community leader in St. Louis, Roberts has never lost sight of his commitment to the African-American community. The Roberts Companies’ headquarter offices are located in the heart of St. Louis, which has created thousands of jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for the community, raising the level of economic activity and enhancing the communities’ quality of life.

In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of publicly held companies, such as Alamosa PCS Holdings, Inc. [OTC: ALMO]; ACME Communications [NASDAQ: ACME]; and USA Network/HSN [NASDAQ: USAI]. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Council of Shopping Centers; National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators & Developers and the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters.

Featured in a number of articles in nationally distributed business publications such as Success Magazine, Black Enterprise, Fortune, Forbes and Business Week, Roberts is also a
nationally known speaker and author of the acclaimed, “Action Has No Season, Secrets and Strategies to Gaining Wealth and Authority.” He received a Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University and has also studied at the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France and The Hague Academy of International Law in The Hague, Holland.
